A little world is waking up…
A whole new direction: √(−1) = i.

Two expressions bounce apart. An operation can change an expression. Like operations can join: +1 and +2 become +3. Opposites can cancel. Results stay in the Gaussian integers: a + bi, with integer a and b. The chosen square root of −1 is +i. Balls keep moving after release; their size follows the expression’s magnitude.
